Frequently Asked Questions

  • What does a financial advisor actually do?

A financial advisor helps you create a personalized plan for your financial life—whether that means investing for retirement, planning for major milestones, managing risk, or building a legacy. At Troxell Financial | Evergreen Wealth, we take a relationship-based approach, offering both strategic advice and ongoing support as your life evolves.

  • How is Troxell Financial | Evergreen Wealth compensated?

We are a fee-based advisory firm, which means we charge a transparent fee based on the assets we manage on your behalf. In some cases, we may also offer fixed or hourly planning services. We believe in full transparency and will always review our fee structure with you before any engagement begins.

  • Who do you typically work with?

We serve individuals and families with $500K+ in investable assets, business owners looking for company retirement plans, and professionals navigating complex planning needs such as equity compensation, succession planning, or multigenerational wealth.

  • Do I have to have a certain amount of money to work with you?

While we specialize in working with high-net-worth clients, we offer planning conversations for individuals who are building toward long-term goals and are a strong fit for our services. We encourage a minimum of $500K, but we’re always happy to explore whether we’re the right partner for your journey.

  • What’s included in a financial plan?

Your financial plan may include retirement projections, investment analysis, tax strategies, estate considerations, insurance review, charitable giving, and business planning—customized based on your needs. It's a living document we review and adjust together as life changes.

  • How often will we meet?

We typically meet with clients 1–2 times per year or more frequently depending on your preferences and life events. You’ll also receive proactive updates from our team and can reach out any time with questions.

  • Do you work with my other professionals (CPA, attorney, etc.)?

Yes. We believe collaboration leads to better outcomes. With your permission, we’ll coordinate with your accountant, estate planning attorney, or other professionals to ensure your entire financial picture is aligned.

  • Is my information secure?

Absolutely. We use secure, encrypted technology to store and share your information through your client portal and document vault. Your privacy and security are a top priority.

  • How do I access my accounts or upload documents?

You can log into your client portal to view account details, access planning tools, or upload files through the secure document center. If you need help logging in, our team is happy to assist.

  • How do I get started?

It all begins with a conversation. You can schedule a no-obligation introductory meeting to learn more about our process and determine if we’re the right fit for your goals. Alternatively, we have a pre-meeting online discovery form that you can pro-actively fill out now.
